The 2020 Ring Masters tournament kicked off on Thursday night at the Amazura Event Space in Queens. The tournament showcases the best amateur boxers that the New York City metro area has to offer. The young boxers are competing to earn the “Ring Master” title on the round to the finals at Madison Square Garden on April 10th.
There are over 20 shows leading up to the finals and I’ll be trying to cover as many of them as possible in collaboration with Smoker Talk boxing. I’m working on a photo essay project with the tournament and look forward to finishing and printing my favorite images after the tournament concludes.
